Using MDM studio, you can have these perspectives on the master data:
- Source company: The company that owns and manages the master data. In this company, you edit, approve, release, and send the master data.
- Target company: The company where the master data is received and used.
This section explains how to use MDM studio in the source company.
For the source company, we advise you to primarily use the 'Master data management - Operations' workspace of MDM studio.
Note: The users who can manage the master data in the source company are the data stewards as defined for the source company.
Prerequisites
Before you can use MDM studio, this setup is required:
- Companies: Where to send the data from and to.
- Connectivity studio: Which data is sent.
- Master data entity: How the data is sent.
