You can register the items and spare parts that you use doing a task.

You can scan a barcode or manually enter the item number or serial number of the used spare part.

When you confirm the entered spare part:

  • An entry is created in the spare parts list.
  • In D365 FO, in the Work order line transactions, a transaction is created of registration type 'Item' or 'Item requirement'. Note: If you work offline, the transaction is only created when you synchronize to D365 FO.


Standard procedure

1. On the Task details page, tap "Spare parts".

2. To register a spare part, on the action bar, tap '+'.

3. To scan a barcode of an item number or serial number, in the Entry section, tap the 'barcode' icon:

4. On the Scan page, indicate if you want to scan an item number barcode or a serial number barcode.
5. In the Scan pane, tap 'Scan' and point the camera of your device at the barcode.
6. If the barcode is scanned, tap 'Confirm'.
7. On the Spare part registration page, you can also manually enter an item number or serial number.
8. In the Quantity field, enter the number of items used.
9. In the Registration type field, indicate if you register a used item or an item requirement.
10. Define the site and warehouse from which the item is taken.
 

Note:

- The default site and warehouse are based on the Service warehouse as defined for your worker account in D365 FO.

- If a site is selected, the warehouse dropdown only shows warehouses that are related to the selected site.

- If no site is selected, and you select a warehouse, the related site is automatically selected.

- If a site and warehouse are selected which are not the default site and warehouse, and you select the 'empty' value in the warehouse dropdown, the site is reset to the default site.

- You can only select a site and warehouse that belong to the default company as defined in the app parameters.

11. Tap 'Confirm'.

Notes

You can:

  • Change a registered spare part. To do so, on the desired spare part entry, tap . In the Entry section, make the desired changes
  • Delete a registered spare part. To do so, on the desired spare part entry, tap .

Note: You can only change or delete a spare part entry if the related work order line transaction in D365 FO is not posted.
