Exchange security role configuration

You can export a security role with all its related security setup. So, you can import and use it in another environment.

As a result, an XML file is created with the security role configuration. The XML file is stored in the Security and compliance file share workspace. You can use the XML file to import and use the security role configuration in another environment. Procedure 1. Click Security management. 2. Click the Roles tab. 3. In the list, find and select the desired security roles. 4. Click Export. 5. In the Name field, type the name for the XML file. 6. Click OK. Notes In the export, the ‘FormControlOverrides’ from the AOT privileges are not included. When you import the XML file, these ‘FormControlOverrides’ privileges are removed in the target environment. Procedure 1. Click Security management. 2. Click Share. 3. Click the Exported role tab. 4. In the list, find and select the desired XML file. 5. Click Download. Import entire security role configuration Import entire security role configuration You can import a security role with all its related security configuration from an XML file that is exported from another environment. When the securable objects are imported from the XML file, these objects are published automatically. If dynamic snapshots are enabled, the published objects are automatically updated in the latest snapshot. Procedure 1. Click Security management. 2. Click the Roles tab. 3. Click Import. 4. Click the desired option. 5. Click OK. Notes In the XML file, the ‘FormControlOverrides’ from the AOT privileges are not included. This is indicated by the 'Has customization' field. 5. In the Name field, type the name for the XML file. 6. Click OK.
