Export configuration

You can export most elements, as defined in RapidValue, to a content package. A content package consists of configuration data that is stored in RapidValue tables in XML format. For each record in a configuration, a line is created in the content package.

If you want to use an XML data file instead of a content package, you can create it from a content package. A data file is an XML file of type RVDATA that contains all configuration data of the content package.

Procedure 1. Click Business process management. 2. On the Solutions tab, in the list, find and select the desired record. 3. Click Export. 4. In the Content package field, type a value. 5. In the Description field, type a value. 6. Sub-task: Browse content package. 7. Click Share. 8. On the Content packages tab, in the list, click the link in the desired row. 9. On the Details tab, in the list, find and select the desired record. 10. Click View XML record. 11. Click Close. 12. Sub-task: Share content package. 13. Click Edit. 14. Select Yes in the Share field. 15. Close the page. 16. Click OK. Notes The steps in this topic explain how to export a solution. In the File name field, type a value. 6. Expand the Run in the background section. 7. Select Yes in the Batch processing field. 8. Click OK. 9. Sub-task: Download data file. 10. From each content package, you can create a data file. This is an XML file of type rvdata that contains all configuration data of the content package.
You can find and download the created data file on the Business process file share workspace, on the Data files tab.
