You can assign an existing flow to a business process in the business process hierarchy.

As a result, both the flow and the related process are assigned to the selected business process.


Standard procedure

1. Click Business process modeling.
2. Click the Business processes tab.
3. Click Edit hierarchy.
4. Click the Flow tab.
5. Click Assign to open the drop dialog.
6. Select Yes in the Show all flows field.
7. In the list, find and select the desired record.
8. Click OK.
9. Click Save.
10. Close the page.

Notes

When you assign an existing flow to a business process, these scenarios can occur:

  • It is the first time you assign a flow to the business process: On the dialog, on the Existing tab, all flows are shown that belong to the current solution or its referenced solutions.
  • A flow is already assigned to the business process: Which flows are shown on the dialog, on the Existing tab is defined by the Show all flows toggle button. If it is set to:
    • No, only the flows are shown that belong to the process that is currently assigned to the selected business process.
    • Yes, all flows are shown that belong to the current solution or its referenced solutions.
