Set up engineering change parameters

To be able to work with engineering change management, this setup is required:

  • Change categories
  • Change priorities
  • Severity rule
  • Re-release impacted products
  • BOM level restriction

Use engineering change categories to group engineering change orders. Procedure 1. Go to Product engineering > Setup > Engineering change management > Categories. 2. Click New. 3. In the Category field, type a value. 4. Close the page. Set up engineering change priorities Set up engineering change priorities You can set up the priorities to be assigned to engineering change requests and engineering change orders. Procedure 1. Go to Product engineering > Setup > Engineering change management > Priorities. 2. Click New. 3. In the Priority field, type a value. 4. Close the page. Define engineering change parameters Define engineering change parameters Before you start using engineering change management, set the engineering change parameters.  Procedure 1. Go to Product engineering > Setup > Product engineering parameters. 2. Click the Engineering change tab. 3. In the Category field, enter or select a value. 4. In the Priority field, enter or select a value. 5. In the Severity rule field, select an option. 6. In the Re-release impacted products field, select an option. 7. In the BOM level restriction field, select an option. 8. Close the page. End End
