Business object parameters

Set up the parameters that define the business object creation. In the Business object parameters, you set up:

-  The business object number sequence. This is used to define the business object identification on creation of a business object.

-  The graphical business object overview. This allows you to see the business object availability in two ways.

-  The general parameters. You can define basic filters and counting journals.

Setup rental type

A rental type is a group of rental items that have similar characteristics when rent out to  customers.

The process defines the creation of the rental types.

Create business object

For each physical object that can be rented or serviced, a business object is required. You link a business object to a product. Depending on the business needs, you can also link a business object to a fixed asset.

A business object can be:

·         Serialized: Create a unique business object for each piece of equipment with a serial number attached to it. For example: a photocopier machine or an aerial working platform.

·         Bulk:  Create a bulk business object for non-serialized assets. These assets are usually purchased in bulk quantities and stored in your inventory and on fixed asset level. For example: scaffolding pipes or computer cables.
