A content package must contain all data for one side of the environment comparison. It can also contain data from several XML files and tables. Use a content package as a stable point of reference for the tables you want to compare.

To compare data, first export your data from the applicable D365 FO environment to XML files. You can use XML files to generate a content package. To generate an XML file for a content package, run the applicable message. As a result, an XML file with the content, as defined by the message, is generated and placed in a specified folder on your Azure Storage account. You can run several messages to export different sets of data to XML files. You can generate a content package based on several XML files. In this case, make sure all desired XML files for the content package are placed in the same Azure Storage account folder.
