You can export a configuration to an XML file. So, you can import it in another Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations environment.
You can find and download the created file on the Mobility sharing workspace, on the Data files tab.

If you export a configuration, all related content is included in the file.

You can export these configurations:
  • Application
  • Device
  • Menu
  • Process
  • Style sheet
  • Form control template
As an example, the steps explain how to export an application.


Standard procedure

1. Click Mobility management.
2. On the Applications tab, in the list, find and select the desired record.
3. Click Export.
4. In the File name field, type a value.
5. Besides the XML file, you can also generate a data package with data entities. You can find and download this data package on the Mobility sharing workspace, on the Data files tab. You can deploy the downloaded data package with Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services.
  Select Yes in the Generate package field.
6. Click OK.
7. Sub-task: Download exported configuration.
  7.1 Click Share.
  7.2 On the Data files tab, in the list, find and select the desired file.
 

Note: A data file with the file name extension:
- .dawdata is an XML file.
- .zip is a data package.

  7.3 Click Download.
