Set the parameters that apply to the mass return process of the Anywhere for rental app.

Standard procedure

1. Click Mobility management.
2. Click Anywhere app parameters.
3. Click the Rental tab.
4. Expand the Mass return section.
5. For the Anywhere for rental app mass return process, the rental orders are cached. This is done for performance reasons. The cache must contain the rental orders that can be returned.
Set the days before and days after the expected off-rent date, to define a period. All rental orders, with an expected off-rent date in the defined period, are included in the cache.
In the Expected off-rent days before rental order field, enter a number.

Note:

  • The longer the defined time period, the longer it takes the batch job to process. Also, the more negative impact it has on the D365FO performance.
  • When the rental order date filter batch job is running, you cannot do mass returns.

6. In the Expected off-rent days after rental order field, enter a number.

Select Yes in the Search for open return journal field.
10.

You can define how the off-rent date is set for rental returns:

  • No: Current date + exact time.
  • Hour: Current date + next whole hour.
  • Day: Current date + end of day.
In the Round return date field, select an option.
11. Sub-task: Define supplementary item groups.
11.1 You can charge costs for rental mass returns. To charge costs, you need an item group for supplementary items. Define the item groups for supplementary items.
Use item groups with service items that are set up as charge cost items. You can assign charge cost items as supplementary items to rental items. Based on this setup, you can add charge cost lines to your rental returns. You can use this setup, for example, to charge damages.
In the Supplementary item group section, click Add.
