Use the integration journal to import a tender in Microsoft Excel format to a project quotation work breakdown structure.

It serves as a medium of data transfer between the Microsoft Excel template and advanced WBS. Before you can create an integration journal, create a project quotation, and go to the advanced WBS. Procedure 1. Click Advanced project management. 2. Click Project quotation. 3. Click New. 4. In the Customer account field, enter or select a value. 5. Click OK. 6. Click Advanced WBS. 7. Click Edit. 8. Click Integration. 9. Click Open. Notes The integration journal is automatically created for the project quotation.On creation of the journal, no lines are created. Copy integration journal Copy integration journal You can copy lines from another integration journal to the current integration journal. Publish data from Microsoft Excel to integration journal Publish data from Microsoft Excel to integration journal When you have entered the tender data in the Microsoft Excel file, you can publish it to the integration journal.If the Microsoft Excel file has any invalid data, you get error messages. You can make the required changes in the Microsoft Excel file and publish it again. Procedure 1. Review the data that you have entered in the Microsoft Excel file. 2. Click publish in the Microsoft Excel add-in pane to transfer the data to integration journal lines. Review integration journal lines Review integration journal lines After the Microsoft Excel data is published to the integration journal, you can review the created integration journal lines. You cannot make any changes to the integration journal lines. If any changes are required, you can do this in the Microsoft Excel file. When done, publish the Microsoft Excel file again to the integration journal. Procedure 1. Click Advanced project management. 2. Click Project quotation. 3. Select the desired record. 4. Click Advanced WBS. 5. Click Edit. 6. Click Integration. 7. Click Open. 8. Click Lines. 9. Click Validate. Note: If the validation fails, you can open the integration journal lines in Microsoft Excel, make corrections, and re-publish. You can also add more lines and re-publish. 10. Close the page.
