If the integration journal is created, you can open the related Microsoft Excel file. Enter all relevant data from the tender into this Microsoft Excel file.

In the integration journal Microsoft Excel file, setup data, as defined in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, is available in the Microsoft Dynamics Office Add-in pane at the right.

When you enter the tender data, use this setup data where applicable.

For example, WBS line types can be selected from:
•Project
•Activity
•Trans (for estimate lines).

If you enter any other text and publish, you get an error.

Standard procedure

1. Click Advanced project management.
2. Click Project quotation.
3. In the list, click the link in the selected row.
4. Click Advanced WBS.
5. Click Edit.
6. Click Integration.
7. Click Open.
8. Click Lines.
9. Click Open in excel to open the drop dialog.
10. Select the desired template.
11. Click OK.

Notes

  • Do not change the integration journal ID and the line number in the Microsoft Excel file.
  • Make sure all setup, that is required for the tender, is available in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations before you open the Microsoft Excel file.
