On data quality policy rules, you can define conditions. If you define a condition and the applicable table for the rule is a date-effective or inheritance table, additional setup is required. The applicable table for the rule must be mapped to a related staging table or temporary table.
For example, if the applicable table for the rule is the:
1. | Click Data quality management. |
2. | Click Condition table mapping. |
3. | Click New. |
4. | Define the date-effective table or inheritance table that you use in a data policy rule. |
  | In the Policy rule table field, enter or select a value. |
5. | Define the relevant staging table or temporary table to which the date-effective table or inheritance table must be mapped. |
  | In the Staging table field, enter or select a value. |
6. | Sub-task: Set up field mapping. |
6.1 | Define which fields of the data policy rule table map with which fields of the staging or temporary table. |
  | Click Field mapping. |
6.2 | You can generate the field mapping based on the key fields. |
  | Click Generate field mapping. |
6.3 | If you want to map more fields, you can do so manually. |
  | Click New. |
6.4 | In the Rule table field field, enter or select a value. |
6.5 | In the Staging table field field, enter or select a value. |
6.6 | Close the page. |
