If you run a project, it runs in the current company only. You can use company groups to run a project in several companies.
You define a company group for a specific project. You can set up several company groups for each project. For each company group, define the companies in which the project must run.
Scenarios where using company groups can be useful are:
  • Data migration: In data migration projects, you often need to migrate several companies in the same way. With company groups, you can migrate several companies in one go with the same setup. And, you can easily repeat this, for example, when testing the data migration setup.
  • Connectivity: In integrations, a common scenario is that the same messages must be run in several companies. You can use company groups, combined with the tasks setup, to export and import  data in the right sequence in several companies in one go.
