Set the parameters that define how to pick items with the Anywhere for logistics app.


Standard procedure

1. Click Mobility management.
2. Click App Parameters.
3. Click the Logistics tab.
4. Expand the Picking section.
5. You can allow to scan the location and have the scanned or entered warehouse/location validated in the ‘Picking’ process. On validate, a check is done if it matches the warehouse/location on the picking list.
  Select Yes in the Scan location field.
6. You can allow to scan the item and have the scanned or entered item validated in the ‘Picking’ process. On validate, a check is done if it matches the item on the picking list.
  Select Yes in the Scan item field.
7. You can allow to scan the batch ID and have the scanned or entered batch ID validated in the ‘Picking’ process. On validate, a check is done if it matches the batch ID on the picking list.
  Select Yes in the Scan batch field.
8. You can allow to scan the pick bin and have the scanned or entered pick bin validated in the ‘Picking’ process. On validate, a check is done if it matches the pick bin on the picking list.
  Select Yes in the Scan pick bin field.
9. Select how to check the entered quantity on picking. Select ‘<=onstock’ to check if the entered quantity is less than or equal to the physical inventory. Select ‘<=available’ to check if the entered quantity is less than or equal to the physical available inventory.
  In the Picked quantity check field, select an option.
10. You can have the items reserved when a picking list is selected in an Anywhere for logistics app.
  Select Yes in the Reserve picking list when selected field.
11. Select in which unit quantities are picked: the sales unit or the inventory unit.
  In the Picking unit field, select an option.
12. You can allow to use the unit from the scanned GTIN to pick the items. On finishing the picking, the inventory unit is converted to the GTIN unit in the ‘Picking’ process. Example: 100 pieces are to be picked. These are physically stored in 10 boxes, each with 10 pieces. On picking, you can scan the 10 boxes. On finish picking, these are booked from inventory as 100 pieces.
  Select Yes in the Use GTIN unit field.
13. You can allow to enter a note when the picking list is finished. The note is added to the sales order.
  Select Yes in the Enter note field.
14. Select the note type to be added to the sales order.
  In the Note type field, enter or select a value.
15. You can allow a change of delivery mode when the picking list is finished.
  Select Yes in the Change delivery mode field.
16. You can have the quantities from the picking list prefilled in the ‘Picking’ process.
  Select Yes in the Prefill picked quantity field.
17. You can allow to update the sort codes on the picking list.
  Select Yes in the Use sort codes field.
 

Note: This can influence the routing of the picking list.

18. Define the printer type to print packing slips in the 'Picking' process.
  In the Packing slip printer type field, enter or select a value.
 

Note: A packing slip is only printed:
- If a default printer is set up for the defined printer type, with the applicable warehouse and user defined for the default printer.
- If a printer type is defined in this field.

19. For GS1-128 type barcodes, the batch ID can be part of the barcode. If you scan a GS1-128 type barcode in the Picking process, you can have the batch ID entered automatically from the barcode.
If 'No', the batch ID must be entered manually.
  Select Yes in the Get batch number from GS1-128 barcode field.
20. For GS1-128 type barcodes, the serial number can be part of the barcode. If you scan a GS1-128 type barcode in the Picking process, you can have the serial number entered automatically from the barcode.
If 'No', the serial number must be entered manually.
  Select Yes in the Get serial number from GS1-128 barcode field.
21. You can have items automatically shipped when the picking process is finished.
  Select Yes in the Ship automatically field.
22. You can have the packing slip printed automatically after picking for the sales order is finished. The packing slip is printed on the applicable default printer for the defined packing slip printer type.
  Select Yes in the Sales orders field.
23. You can have the packing slip printed automatically after picking for the transfer order is finished. The packing slip is printed on the applicable default printer for the defined packing slip printer type.
  Select Yes in the Transfer orders field.
24. You can have the packing slip generated automatically after picking is completed.
  Select Yes in the Deliver automatically field.
 

Note: The packing slip is not printed if this field is set to 'Yes'.

25. You can require to scan the serial number of each picked item separately. The number of not-scanned serial numbers is cancelled. Example: According to the picking list. you must pick 10 pieces of an item. For each piece, the serial number must be scanned. You only scan 8 serial numbers. The 2 remaining pieces are cancelled.
As a result, a separate form is shown in the picking process where you can scan the serial numbers.
  Select Yes in the Register serials for sales process field.
 

Note: Posting of a packing slip without providing the required number of serial numbers is not allowed. Therefore, the combination of these parameters does not make sense:
- Deliver automatically = Yes
- Register serials for sales process = No
If you use this parameter setup combination, the packing slip is not posted automatically.

26. Close the page.
