The number of cost codes in the system can be almost unlimited.

However, for reporting or analysis it might be useful to group certain cost codes.

For this purpose, a cost code group can be defined.

 

• The use of cost code groups is mandatory

• The combination of cost code group + cost code standard is unique

• The cost code groups are mainly used for reporting and analysis to subtotal member codes


Standard procedure

1. Go to Project management and accounting > Setup > Advanced project management > Cost code setup > Cost code group.
2. Click Cost code group.
3. Click New.
4. In the Cost code group field, type a value.
5. In the Description field, type a value.
6. In the Cost code standard field, enter or select a value.
7. Click Save.
8. Close the page.
